CHARITY, DOCUMENTARY | FEARLESS
I wrote and directed this short narrative film for the charity Fearless, exploring what living with trauma can feel like and how it can make even ordinary moments feel overwhelming. The aim of the film was to give a glimpse into the emotional and physical impact trauma can have on everyday life. With this piece I got a chance to connect back to my dramatic roots and was able to work with fantastic actors to help shape an impactful and compelling performance.
This film was made possible by Media Trust and their volunteer platform, that connects media organisations with charities and under-represented talent to empower the third sector and advance media representation
Behind The Scenes – We used a body-rig to capture the shots of our actress in the outside world. This fixed perspective added a slightly surreal aspect to the visuals and heightened the sense of internal turmoil. We used the same body-rig setup in the bedroom to achieve the match cut where jump form the street to waking up in bed.
