REAL PEOPLE, DOCUMENTARY | BARCLAYCARD
The aim of this film was to take what would normally be a very corporate financial story and make it feel real and grounded. Working with real Barclaycard customers meant shooting in their own homes and creating natural scenarios so they never had to act – while still ensuring the film had a clean, commercial finish. The challenge was balancing those two worlds, managing the interview in a way that kept Farzana relaxed and comfortable, and shaping a portrait that felt honest, warm and true to her experience. This piece formed part of a wider series of customer stories for Barclaycard.
Key Challenges – When working with real people – especially on customer portraits – the main aim is to keep everything as relaxed and unforced as possible. Part of that process involved meeting Farzana and family ahead of the filming day and finding activities that we could film that were authentic, but entertaining for the kids.
